Just returned home from my daily swim - sea was a bit choppy but still enjoyable. My granddaughter came with us for the first time this year as she now starts summer holidays.
Streets are decorated for the Festa with thousands of light bulbs, banners and crepe paper bows squized together on a string (or rope). These decorations give the parish such a lovely festive appearance. For the evening procession on Sunday, cars will not be allowed to drive through or park along the way until the procession passes. This, on the other hand, causes traffic problems to other roads. Police have to be out in force to direct traffic.
