These last two days my pictures for the day have included Fort St Angelo. I have today decided to upload a picture I took some weeks ago to end the series on this mighty fort. The picture is taken from Upper Barrakka in Valletta across the harbour. The topmost storey (where the chapel is) is now leased to the Order of St John and the Order’s flag has been raised on the pole as in old times. In that chapel Grand Master La Valette used to pray before going into battle during the Great Siege of 1565.
