Saturday evening, we decided to go to the Point Shopping Mall in Sliema to do some window shopping and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere that was there. The place was so beautifully ornate and there was so much activity that I decided to return on Monday to take some shots. I arrived there a bit after closing time and being a Monday the business was very low.
This picture shows the front of the Mall decorated for Christmas. Some people still linger at the coffee bar facing a square in front of the Mall.
As you can see there is only one storey above ground level – another 3 storeys are below ground. On the roof of the complex is a full-sized football (soccer) pitch with synthetic turf. Together with a club house on the side of the building this pitch is used by one of the top local football clubs – Sliema Wanderers.
