NARCISSI IN MY DRIVEWAY by sangwann

NARCISSI IN MY DRIVEWAY

These narcissi are very similar to the Daffodil but much smaller. Unlike the Daffodil, they grow in bunches from a single stalk and there are no colour variations. They also have a sweet fragrance, In the Maltese Islands they used to be found in the wild in rocky terrain but nowadays they are not so easy to find because of man’s avid nature.
Narcissus is a genus of mainly hardy, mostly spring-flowering, bulbs in the Amaryllis family native to Europe, North Africa, and Asia. There are also several Narcissus species that bloom in the autumn. Perhaps because of our mild climate, in Malta, at least those I have, bloom in mid-winter.
