CHADWICK LAKES (7) – Birds

Sorry to linger on this series of pictures from Chadwick Lakes but there were quite a few birds flying here and there during our walk. I am not very well equipped for taking bird pictures; I only have my point and shoot Lumix but it has an efficient zoom though a bit slow to focus. Nevertheless I have tried my hands on capturing some birds, the likes of which I have never seen, or ever bothered to look out for.
I have tried to trace the birds’ names from the Birdlife (Malta) website so would be grateful if someone corrects me if I’m wrong.
The bird in the picture, to me, is a European Stonechat (Saxicola rubicola)
Many thanks for looking and for your kind comments on yesterday’s picture.
Beautiful depth of field and composition. Nice markings on this little bird.

beautiful shot - it looks like a stonechat to me too, and I wondered in thumbnail if you'd captured it with a beak full of nesting materials
