A few floats were made of real flowers. I have been pondering a lot whether to post a picture of one of these floats. To say the truth I wasn’t very much impressed because, to me, they looked somewhat out of place in the same parade as the papier mache floats, even though there was so much labour in setting them up and the use of so many thousands of flowers in each of them.

Wow- that is so pretty and magical. We have a parade here in the States- The Tournament of Roses Parade where all the floats are made of flowers. It takes place out in California for one of the college football (American) competitions. The floats are quite elaborate, but it's held during the day so that you can see all the colors and design. They are quite elaborate, but definitely not as theatrical as the paper mache kind.
