During the festive season, Valletta is all lit up and pulls the crowds. There are band marches along the streets, guggen band, santas and a recent addition is this trackless train which takes people around the city with bells clanging. The festive atmosphere will remain up to 6th January, Epiphany, when all the lights are turned off and life returns to normal.
looks like lots of fun - i always think it is sad to see the christmas lights turned off soooo soon. I like the song by Jimmy Rankin that is called "Don't wanna say goodbye to christmas" - sums up my feelings
