French Marigolds in my garden. I love the different colour tones and pattern in each one of them.
Update on the Maltese clock so you don’t think I gave up: a lot of patience and diligence is needed in this last phase of the project. Unfortunately, I am very busy with other chores and sometimes, since it is my habit to go and do some work in the garage to get some peace of mind, I go do some work after 8.00pm or even later. The ground work for laying the gold leaf is now almost complete. I have now bought some silver leaf, which is much cheaper than gold and am trying out the laying process. Not very successful, yet, but I am gradually getting the knack of it.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday’s picture.
I love Marigolds too and always have a large amount of them in my gardens and on my deck. The deer don't like them and I think they also keep some of the bad bugs away- but I can't remember if that's true or not now.
Nice montage of these lovely little flowers. It sounds as if you are enjoying the challenge of this stage in building your clock, even if it is (or maybe because it is?) painstaking work.
