SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS

21st August. Another shot taken from the church tower on Bled Island. I couldn’t resist posting this shot.

Most of you may remember the quote from Animal Farm : “All animals are equal but some are more equal than others”. This was usually said of Communist and Socialist leaders. This is the case of the building in this picture. Today, it is a luxury 5-star hotel in Bled. Before, it was, first the summer residence of the Yugoslav royal family and later, when he came to power, of Josip Broz Tito, Yugoslavia’s Communist/Socialist President between 1953 until his death in 1980. These people knew where to set up their residences, don’t you agree? BTW, something I learned from our guide is the actual name was Josip Broz and that Tito was just a nickname.
