Abruzzo Day 3. 18th April.
It was almost completely dark by the time the procession had passed by the place where we were positioned. On our way to catch the coach I saw this lovely night view which I wanted to capture. I do not carry a tripod with me and all my shots are with the camera hand held. This is one of the shots I took before we caught the escalator to where the coach was parked.
Chieti is a medieval city and built on high ground to better protect itself from attacks. To save visitors time and fatigue this very long escalator – shown in the well-lit tube – was built to take up people from the parking area straight to the city centre.
Thank you so very much for looking, for your interest and for the lovely comments on yesterday’s picture.
Awesome night view of this city very beautiful captured.
The artist name was also new for me , only the ``Cobra `` painting group is very famous in Holland.
Great pov and night shot, Dione. There's something so restful about looking down on the lights of a town at night, as you've shown here. The clouds are beautiful and the line of the escalator building is great.
