This Canna was in the shade of larger bushes which cast shadows on the wall. When I looked at the picture on the screen I found that a fly had settled on the petals of the flower and made a nice addition to the shot.
Shot taken at the grounds of San Anton Palace which is the official residence of the Maltese President. The grounds are open to the public.
World Cup. Another dramatic day for the World Cup, yesterday, when Europe met Africa. France vs Nigeria was a very pleasant match to watch. France had to wait until the 80th minute to score their first goal with a second goal later. Nigeria played a great game, too. The French were a bit erratic when they came to the final touches before goal.
The match of the day was definitely, Germany vs Algeria and what a dramatic match that was. I say hurrah, hurrah, hurrah to Algeria for playing such a fantastic game. They were a match for the German team in all quarters. It was only in the extra time that Germany clinched victory.
