Sunday, while walking along the promenade I saw this swimmer going through his paces. He had such a graceful style and was so fast that I thought he was wearing flippers but he wasn’t. I consider myself quite good at swimming but wouldn’t have made half the distance he did in the same time. Probably he was training for one of the long distance swims organised in Malta (could be a triathlon).
Joke: You will not believe this. Yesterday, a man came knocking at my front door. I wasn’t in so my wife asked what the call was for. He said he was collecting for the local swimming pool... so, after a few seconds thinking, she gave him two buckets of water.
No Boccelli shoes for me - well, at that price!
Thank you so much for looking and for the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Impressive capture and he's brave to be swimming in Winter. Even in the best of conditions, I consider swimming as staying alive when in the water. To be endured only when absolutely essential.
The water splash really does look nice against the black. Hard to reason why you'd willingly put you body in the water when it's cold! More power to him. Have to remember your joke - it's cute!
