Before we left for our vacation I finished making the Maltese clock I had intended to give to JP (my son Jean-Pierre) . I hung it for him in his house and had it going immediately before we left Malta. Here is a picture of it.
Joke: JP was very impressed and proud of his new Maltese clock. He was showing it off to all his friends. To one of them he said: “this clock will go for 14 days without winding.”
“Really?” replied his friend, “And how long will it go if you DO wind it ?”
Many thanks for looking and for all the lovely comments on yesterday's picture
Amazingly beautiful clock, and I'm sure your son was thrilled! And to think you only starting making these clocks a few months ago, it's amazing. (At least I think I remember you saying that, if not I'm completely embarrassed) :)
Another of your wonderful clocks and beautifully crafted, of course! It looks right at home there with JP's lovely white and blue ceramic pieces. I bet he is very pleased and proud of his father's handiwork.
A family heirloom.
