At the Confirmation ceremony, there were 60 children of Michaela’s age participating. Each of them was given a part in the function, some big and some not so big. Michaela and her friend, Valentina, were given the last and longest part by reading from text the children’s thanks to God, the Leaders of the church, their tutors, parents, ect.
Two of these three shots show Michaela and Valentina; in the third shot, bottom right, I am showing you a general view of the church from where I was standing. The church is in the form of an amphitheatre. The bronze head in the foreground is part of one of the Stations of the Cross; you can see more of them around the balcony.
Joke: A pastor is walking down the street one day when he notices a small boy trying to use the doorbell on a house across the street. However, the boy is very small and the doorbell is too high for him to reach.
After watching the boy’s efforts for some time the pastor walks across the street up to the little fellow and rings the doorbell.
Kneeling down next to the child, the pastor smiles and asks, "And now what, my little man?" To which the boy replies, "Run!"
Thank you very much for looking and for the lovely comments and fav's on yesterday's picture and for helping put that shot on tp and pp. Very much appreciated.
This series of shots from the confirmation ceremony are lovely - the lighting and colors are wonderful (hard to do indoors for me) - a very proud moment for your granddaughter.
Wonderful collage, great to hear there were so many participating in this ceremony. When Michaela is older, she will be so grateful that you took all of these photos.
How proud your family must be! After seeing so many ancient cathedral style churches it's so interesting to see this one with a more contemporary (and just as beautiful) style. And judging from the last picture, it is just as large!
And the joke --ha ha ha !!
A beautiful collage of your grand daughter Comfirmation ceremony.
