Back to some more photos of our Sicily holiday. These are from day 3 – 21st September, 2015.
This shot is from my early morning walk when the colours of a new day were starting to show. I waited for some boat to cross in front of the rising sun but the sun rose very quickly. This is the best shot I got.
The rocks around this part of the Sicily coastline are made of lava with jagged tips on which it is impossible to walk. For Summer these wooden passages make it possible for people to reach the sea. At the time workers were dismantling them.
Joke: An young man and his date were parked on a back road in the early hours of the morning some distance from town. After having sex throughout the night , the girl said, "I really should have mentioned this earlier, but I'am actually a hooker, and I charge $200 for what we just did."
The man retorted, "And I should have mentioned this before, but I am actually a taxi driver, and the fare back to town is $300."
Many thanks for all the lovely comments and fav's on yesterday's picture.
I like the way the light's catching on the side planks of the jetty and defines them and also leads the eye through the shot and towards the sea. Lovely.
Lovely colour, having a cup of coffee at the end of the jetty watching the sunrise and no where to go...Super shot.
