This is the cast of the Salesian Brigade presentation on its 105th anniversary. All of them are members of the Brigade varying from 74years (and that’s my brother) to the youngest of around 7 years. The Salesians of Don Bosco in Sliema have also a drama group - some members are both in drama and the brigade – and this has produced some of Malta’s best actors. The theatre itself which is not too big is as old as the Oratory (club) itself.
Joke: Two young boys who were having fun at the Salesian Oratory walked to a pharmacy one day. They walked straight to one of the shelves, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter.
The pharmacist at the counter asked the older boy, "Son, how old are you?”
“Eight”, the boy replied.
The man continued, “Do you know what these are used for?”
The boy replied, “Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him. He's my brother. He's four."
"Oh, really?" the pharmacist replied with a grin.
"Yes." the boy said. "We saw on TV that if you use these, you would be able to dance, swim, play tennis and ride a bike. Right now, he can do none of those”
Many thanks for looking and for the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
So lovely to se all generations of members all together like this - A lovely shot , and a funny joke , how little ones only grasp at what is within their ability to understand !!
A memorable night for the cast lovely shot.
