This is my brother’s grandson, Alessandro, outfitted as a Roman soldier.
Last Monday, my brother asked me if I would like to go with him to visit members of the Salesian Brigade who were on a three-day camp at Rinella Fort. As that would be an adventure for Max (my grandson) I decided to go. Here is a picture of Alessandro dressed as a Roman Soldier. This was an activity the children present were participating in.
Thank you very much for looking and for the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
What an interesting event! Here people re-enact the official look of people and soldiers in the USA's comparatively short history. It's fun to learn of the contrast.
That is so cool- I would love to see his whole armor. When I was teaching the history teacher was making his own Roman soldier costume- authentic like your great nephews. Great portrait!
Sounds like a fascinating activity.
Its a history lesson first hand, great in B&W. Fav
