THE SNAKE CHARMER

Carnival is for grown-ups too.
At the carnival there were many prizes to be one by participating teams – there awards were for the best floats – by category, for the best team dancers – by category and for the most outstanding costumes. This snake charmer was part of one of the teams. He had a string tied from the flute to the snake so that every time he raised the flute the snake came out from his basket – it was a clever idea, I think.

Your carnival reminds me of the Mardi Gras in New Orleans- I believe it also takes place just before Lent although I've never been there. I think in more recent years it has become quite a spectacle (and not in a good way!). This seems much more like the circus- colorful and fun for the whole family. Yes, I think your snake charmer is both clever and charming!
