BEFORE AND AFTER

I had the intention of continuing with my holiday pictures but after yesterday I had to make up this picture.

Malta 1 - Scotland 5. My gosh, that was the result of yesterday's home game against Scotland. We haven't had a score like this since the Van Basten Holland. And Malta played well until Scotland scored a surprise second goal in the 10th minute of the second half. We equalised an early - I would say lucky - Scottish goal with a beautiful goal in the middle of the first half and we had Scotland dazzled and afraid till they got a surprise second goal. Then Malta almost got the equaliser again but a penalty awarded (I didn't see it) early in the second half accompanied by the sending off a Maltese player was our ruin. Our players continued trying but their heart wasn't in it then came the fourth goal and another send off followed by a fifth. Now we have an away game in England. God save us not the Queen.

Fun picture and sorry to hear about the disappointing game. So many referees seem to be ill-qualified to make these calls! I wonder if FIFA will look into instant replay like the American football has.
