Sunday, 16th October, was Sliema Day, not that the day was any different from others. I happened to be with my camera at The Ferries (one side of Sliema) where I had agreed to meet my brother, Joe. Here, the parish priest of Jesus of Nazareth parish which is run by the Dominican Order blesses the memorial for the Sliema residents who lost their lives during WWII.
One interesting fact I found out was that among the dead were two distant relatives of mine who I did not know. I included an insert with their names.
An exciting day, photography-wise, for me yesterday - Valletta in the morning and Birgu in the evening. Will show a few shots in due course.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments and fav's on yesterday's picture.
Fabulous detail, focus and dof. How interesting to find a family connection. Look forward to your photos from the day out - always exciting to have a photographic day!
A great capture of this great memory statue. Love the insert.

That was an important discovery and I really like how you processed this. Like Lee said it has a 3D effect which keeps me looking at it over and over again.
