Last day of our Sicily holiday.
Shots taken at Modica Marina. The day was Monday and the Italian ferragosto had ended the day before – Sunday. Ferragosto is the holiday season of the Italians when everybody closes shop and goes to the beach. Ferragosto lasts 4 weeks in August. The long esplanade of Modica Marina was completely devoid of people – except one or two persons here and there. No photo opportunities except Michaela showing off her dancing skills. Michaela also has a wonderful voice.
Michaela (she’s my ‘favourite’ grand daughter) will be going to London with a troupe from Stagecoach (Malta) to give a performance in November.
