The name is Esther Yoo and the violin is a 313-year old Stradivarius “Prince Obolensky”. You can read more about her on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esther_Yoo
Next to her is Orchestra Conductor Sergey Smbatyan from Armenia. More about him on https://www.sergey-smbatyan.com
During the festive season my brother, Joe, obtained two tickets for a Malta Philharmonic Orchestra rendition of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. He asked me if I wanted to go with him as his wife refused. Of course I accepted. The venue was a large mobile tent erected right in front of the President’s Palace at St George’s Square in Valletta. We were seated half way down the rows of chairs and – just my luck – to obstruct my vision was a tall young lady.
I didn’t take much photos because:
1. I wanted to concentrate on the music
2. my view was restricted by the lady
3. I didn’t want to disturb other people
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. Always much appreciated.
Beautiful , I only wish I could here the music , I love the cosiness of the scene against the warm coloured background ! So annoying when your view is restricted !!
This sounds like a wonderful evening; I can imagine how enchanting it must have been to get to hear this wonderful violin. I especially like the warmth of the background in your photo!
