September 14th – first full day of our Sicily holiday with the family
Look at those faces…….closely.
From the salt pans we drove to the foot of the steep climb to Erice where we caught the cable car to medieval town.
If you look closely at the faces of Christine and Michaela you will notice that they were scared throughout the climb. Christine has been with me many times on all sorts of similar transport but she has never got used to them; this was the first ride for Michaela and although she laughed throughout the ride I knew that on the inside she, too, was scared and didn’t want to show it.
