Driving through the main thoroughfare out of Bidnija I had to stop and pay my respects to Daphne Caruana Galizia, by now a world known journalist who was blown to pieces by a car bomb some 40 months ago. The bomb was so powerful that the car was blown to the place where her make-shift memorial stands – remember we drive on the left side of the road. I was never a big fan of Daphne but all her revelations of corruption have been proved right. Since then we have seen the forced resignation of a Prime Minister, his Chief of Staff, two Ministers, THE Attorney General and the Commissioner of Police and others. Three men who allegedly committed the crime and a business are in court, but our cry (those who do not support our government) for justice lingers on until all those involved in this murder are brought to court and get what they deserve.
Thank you so much for all your views, for your comments and for the fav's.
That is a very sad story, but unfortunately happening in many countries........while ministers and government officials put their own person fortunes and privileges before the good of the people they are supposed to represent.
Extraordinary things going on....we never hear much stuff like this, you have opened my eyes on Maltese government. So very sad that poor Daphne was killed, hopefully those who perpetrated this crime will pay the price!
