Shots taken at the end of February - yes, that is how far behind I am with my shots because I try to keep a sequence in my postings.
When I posted shots of the Salina catacombs weeks ago, I said that I had promised Max that I would take him there on the first opportunity that came by. And I did and here are two shots I took.
These shots bring memories of how luck can overturn a disastrous situation. After visiting these catacombs we walked to the salt pans and on the way I felt the need to use a bathroom which was not available anywhere around. So I found an abandoned field got in and went round a corner to do my needs leaving Max to watch out for any approaching human. As I walked on the hard ground I slipped and fell, got up, made sure the camera was not damaged and when ready we continued on our way. When we got to the car I could not find my car keys which with them I had other important keys on a keychain. I was caught up in a quandary, I needed the keys, I didn’t want to phone Christine to get into her car and bring over the spare keys and had no idea what had happened to them. So I told Max “let’s do the same walk and make sure to follow our previous footsteps” and we did including going round the catacombs again. By the time we got to the field which I had gone into I was almost convinced that we would not find them but then as we moved into the field Max said “here they are”. What a sigh of releaf it was! They must have fallen out of my jacket pocket when I fell. Since then I never put keys in my jacket pockets but in my trouser ones because it is much more difficult to lose them.

A nice shot of the Salina catacombs. I'm glad you found your keys, it is so easy to loose them. I now usually wear trousers with a zip pocket to keep mine safe.

Glad you find them back. For that reason I`ve a lot of other pieces on my keyring , like a can opener , a measure rol and other tools . so if they fall I can hear it
