Here are a few shots from this beautiful island.
Murano is a series of islands linked by bridges in the Venetian Lagoon. It lies about 1.5 kilometres (1 mile) north of Venice and is famous for its glass making. On landing on the island we went straight to a glass factory to watch the men at work but we left immediately because there was quite a queue and we had seen employees working on glass elsewhere. Malta has some great glass making factories, too, though they are not as reknown as those at Murano.
Thank you very much for your views, for your comments and for the fav's.
How very lovely......I barely remember going there and as a young tenager would not have been much interested at the time......so very different story now though !
As a glass lover I`m pretty well know of the Murano glass.
