THE INQUISITOR’S PALACE (4)

One last shot from this interesting building. This is the small chapel of the palace.
The inquisition was established in Malta in 1542. When the French forces under Napoleon Bonaparte took Malta in 1798 without a fight as the Order surrendered knowing they weren’t a match for the French forces, the Inquisition was abolished.
The Inquisitor's Palace is one of the few surviving palaces of its kind around the world, and the only one which is open to the public.
Thank you very much for your visits, comments and fav's.
