Some days ago I had to go to Valletta in the evening on an errand. Knowing it would not take long, I decided to take my Nikon with me. So when I was ready from what I had to do I went for a drive along the fortifications of the city. And this is another shot I took. The arches are of the Lower Barracca Gardens. The street from where I took the shot was not there until the 1960”s; the fortifications of Valletta continued all round the city. An opening was created here to create a ring-road around the bastions to allow traffic to avoid congestion in the narrow city streets. Thank you very much for all your visits, for your lovely comments and for all the fav's on yesterday's picture they are always appreciated.
