clear spaces by sarah19

clear spaces

Busy day! At the bottom of our garden was a large, storm toppled, cherry tree and other overgrown trees too! Last week I was very sad anticipating all the cutting and clearing of our lovely green spaces.
By the little shed is a space we cleared last summer. Over the year various significant tree limbs and evergreens had been piled up.
I can't believe how much stuff has been cut, moved, cleared in such a short time.........much sweating and puffing and whirring of chain saw (in Allan's hands I hasten to add!!!)
I feel so grateful to see the gravel again, and the tidy shed......hasn't been like this for 5 years!
And I am having tea cooked for me as it's Saturday. Today Mike, the fishman who comes in his van to our village, had lobsters!
I think I need a bath first though!
But I'm smiling at the thought of all that has been achieved in a week!
Ah,the glow of satisfaction from a job well done! And well done with the collage too,a real story. (Hope you enjoyed the lobbies!)

A great collage of a god job done !! I bet you can't believe how big your garden looks now ! I like the lobster legs..do you know I have never eaten lobster ! Is Allan cooking tonight then ?

@happypat
Yes - Saturday night is Allan's favourite time to cook!
But he also enjoys Sunday lunch and some week nights! I just enjoy it as I had to cook for all of us for lots of years and especially when he worked away from home! Sometimes I am allowed to help......but he likes the space to himself and he's very good!

I was working with wood today too- stacking the piles Jeff split last week so we can burn it this winter. Needless to say, I'm in need of some cleaning too- but no lobsters for us tonight. We're having sausage and peppers- nice and simple. Lovely collage to remember the hard work and the reward for you labors!

The lobsters were delicious! (The fishman says they are just like big prawns!!!) The bath cleared any aches and cleaned me up well and truly! And the rain is pouring down now. All quite satisfying!

@sarah19 But comparing lobster to prawns is a bit like comparing a mini to a Rolls Royce!
