My darling mum and dad by sarah19

My darling mum and dad

Well there are no words to say what a fabulous and awesome couple they are!
All being well they will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in October
But today I managed to persuade them to just pose for a minute before we headed off for me to get my train. Saying cheerio is never easy but today they were in good form and so happy together.
Three good things
1. Love
2. The privilege of the best parents in the world and the awesome example of marriage and family life
3. The appreciation they express for the little things I manage to do when I'm up with them. This weekend they were doing lots of 'looking after' me...as I had a not very nice cold.
But I'm all the better for the time with them!
They look and sound wonderful, you are indeed a lucky daughter! This is the most lovely shot and they must be thrilled with it.

@happypat thank you Pat and must see if I player has the Portillo programme as I missed that. I love the train journeys to Tain and getting up so often has taken away a bit of the 'bye' feeling. Had such a lovely weekend and left them looking forward to grandson's wedding on Thurs which we'll miss as off to Kiev tomorrow.
In the OMB picture.....yes Allan had a dance on ice on his way from Glasgow to Skye a couple of weeks ago, hit a barrier thankfully, car written off, but not a bump on him. Was close to Tyndrum where there was a recovery garage, a hotel for the night and a station to get a train home next morning. All very grateful.....another 'cared for' experience!!
Catch up soon.

@sarah19 it didn't do the Tain journey just Inverness & then turned south on to Aviemore but when I saw the name Tain it reminded me of you all.....would have loved it to have been to your mum & dad's town. Enjoy your trip...there will be such a difference in Connor this time. They change so much in a few months! Happy Easter. X
