The latest fridge arrived today.....well this evening in fact but that did give me time to finish off the painting in the kitchen and a local holiday so no school.
It seemed a bit alien in position as all our previous fridges have been white! And then I found all the magnets Allan had carefully removed and put on the dining room table!!
Isn't it amazing the difference simple things can make......and they represent such a variety of memories and people and times.....and love!
The oldest two say
"It takes seventeen muscles to smile and forty three to frown."
(which I don't think is actually true but a nice thought!)
and
"A creative mess is better than tidy idleness!"
And I definitely live by that!!!
Sorry I haven't been on much this week. Slept all the way back in the train on Sunday, no appetite for several days and sleeping round the clock and more - though have made it to school with no overtime!!!
Beginning to feel more like myself.....hope the energy picks up for Saturday as we have a music festival at Pitmedden and really want to go!
Three good things
1. no place like home when feeling poorly!
2. Electric blanket is such a comfort when feeling cold and shivery....hitting a warm bed is such a luxury.
3. Jacob's Cream Crackers are such good comfort food when not feeling like eating much!
Oh dear I dint know you had been poorly.......hope you didn't give dad & mum any bugs! Glad you are feeling bit better but it does take a while to recover! I have been putting my side of the electric blanket on too for a bit.....so comforting to get into a warm bed .& have a read.
No wonder you are thinking of kitchen decor....a new fridge & silver at that ...so modern Sallie. Looks large too! Do you know I have no magnetic surfaces in my kitchen for fridge magnets, used to have quite a few. I had to resort to putting one Jo gave me of Max on the side if the toaster!
