Allan made some pork chops for tea, with black pudding, delicious mash and peas. So nice to have it ready to eat......after three school days at home last week my 13,000 steps felt a lot more than usual!!
Three good things
1. Back to school.....everyone seemed glad even though it was an 'inside break' day.
2. Wellie boots - they kept my feet very dry.
3. Tea made ........my turn tomorrow !
@pandorasecho well it has different names here! We call it tea if we're just having one course, and dinner if we have dessert after!! It's the main meal of the day when we are working anyway and always glad to have something tasty!
Lovely that you came in to a ready made meal Sallie! Allan is a treasure! I never know what to call our evening meal either. Tea sounds too cake related & dinner too grand, supper is probably a later lighter meal. Just trying to think what I say & realise I usually call it tea.
Ah, I always thought tea must be a light snack after work, before doing the home chores and finally getting to the evening meal later. My mom had Breakfast, lunch and dinner, and my Dad’s family had breakfast, dinner and supper. But no one had tea time
Thanks for explaining the different names. Always wanted to know...
😊 thank you for your lovely comments
