Smoked fish and parsnip cakes

New recipe books are exciting. This delicious item comes from Ottolenghi SIMPLE, which my sister recommended.
I look forward to trying more.
Three good things
1. A morning presentation by a friend who has a unique understanding of dyslexia made such a difference to my day. I just felt really focused and made some progress with school things at last.
2. Bouncing to new music....
love it and step count also helped by walk round the bypass after walk to the shop for milk.
3. Dill in the garden is flourishing in a pot and fun to use so soon.
Did it taste good?

The food looks wonderful but banned here as my husband, after years of eating mussels, developed a fish allergy.....

Thank you for your lovely comments. I understand the fish allergy thing as two of our children are allergic to shellfish. I had a very bad reaction to prawns some years ago but can manage a few on rare occasions now. Smoked haddock was fine though.

Oh, now, there's a coincidence. My friend in France just recommended that recipe book to me yesterday. I feel I need to get it now. Nice capture of your tasty looking meal.

@jamibann I'd really recommend it. Allan did a wonderful monk fish dish from it this evening. So nice to try new recipes in bleak days.
