This lovely candle holder was a gift from neighbours quite a number of years ago. Today we heard the sad news that she had passed away. She'd been ill for two years....in hospital for six months and then in bed at home for 18months. But what a lovely lady!
She had no sense of self-pity, loved her friends to visit and chat, praised the carers and medical staff who came to help and was always interested in our lives and the lives of our family.
We'll miss her very much but the candle will always make me think of her and we have so many lovely memories and feel grateful to have known her.
