Port Owen River Race

A blustery colourful day today. My knee and hand are a lot better than they were yesterday, but my eye is a lot more colourful and swollen ...
Lovely movement of the water captured in this shot Desi, sorry to hear of your accident and subsequent colourful bruises, hope all heals rapidly

Great capture Desi! Cape Town made the news over here last night - about the drought - scary. How are you with it all?

Your drought has made the news here too! Sounds like a very dire situation. No wonder you bought water tanks to catch rainfall. This is such a great capture, you can feel the excitement.

@bf2016 @777margo @narayani @beckyk365 Thanks Barbie, Margo, Narayani & Becky. Yes the drought sure is serious. At the moment we are coping okay, although my garden is mostly dead now, and I am getting fitter and developing some strength in my arms carrying buckets of water around. We take very quick showers - get wet, turn the water off and soap ourselves, then turn the water on again just long enough to rinse the soap off ....etc. Catch the dirty shower water and washing machine water for the garden so that means carrying buckets. Fill the pool up with salty, undrinkable water, chlorinate it, and carry buckets of that water in to flush toilets, etc. Even the dishes are done in buckets, using as little water as possible, and that water also carried out into the garden...
