A different perspective

I even went off the path into this bit of garden to see if it would work getting a shot of my bride (substitute worker in blue overalls for the time being) from a different angle - but staying clear of the plants and keeping dogs on leashes clear of the plants, while shooting single handedly is not really the ideal way to test the theory

I think without the dogs, this could work well. I like the framing with the plants in the foreground

@narayani Thanks Narayani. I also thought perhaps I could frame her with flowering plants - if indeed they are still flowering then. Her colour scheme is apricot and white, so if this orange cape honeysuckle is flowering that will work
