Although it doesn't look like it from this angle, the clouds behind me were very ominous and the threat of more heavy downpours was just too great for me to want to walk the dogs any distance from a place to shelter, so I drove them to the harbour where I could park in the middle and walk up and down with them. The cat remained so motionless I don't think the dogs even realised the cat was there - they had so many other smells to catch up on. Not even an ear twitched until I tried to kneel down to get a different perspective, and then it just quietly and seemlessly melted into the rocks. No sudden movement. No dashing anywhere. Just disappeared. I guess that is how ferals survive.
