I actually found myself feeling almost emotional as I wandered around amongst these old aircraft - especially going up into the Shackleton, climbing up to the cockpit of the Buccaneer and looking back down the aircraft at its smooth curves, touching the Sabre and the magazine of high calibre bullets. Couldn't help feeling a sense of one-ness with the pilots who flew these machines to help keep me safe.
