Penny is a five-year-old adopted Greyhound. The young-lady owner let Penny off-leash (against the law in Seattle :)) to run and chase Seagulls on Alki Beach. This section of Alki was not crowded with people. Penny took off like a bolt of lightning after the Seagulls (I wasn't fast enough to get a shot of her running). When I talked with Penny's owner, I petted Penny and saw that Penny is well-cared for and happy. I love that people adopt these wonderful, docile dogs and give them loving homes. So sad when they don't find anyone to give them a home. My son got stuck with a pitbull for giving him a home. And now his family is greatly in love with him.
