Bare Branches by seattlite

Bare Branches

Lincoln Park has a lot of neat tree groupings that I've been photographing. The bare branches of these trees were intertwined which made for interesting patterns. I've been extremely busy this week so my commenting on your great photos has been a bit sporadic. Thanks for stopping by.
That is a really striking image. I love the bareness of the branches. Almost like nature's wire fencing!

These sort of branches are also very resistent. Paimpont Forest has many of this 'type' of tree and they do make a significant barrier for animals and humans.

It looks like they are holding hands (i.e., branches). Together, they form a lacy connection.

Great spot and plenty for the imagination to work on. The interlacing branches made me think of trails of gossamer threads I once saw across a field of grass.
