Evensong

A blackbird sees us off on the evening dog walk – this one is a regular, seeing out the day on this spot or close by. We are certainly appreciating the lighter nights, especially with a clear sky, and if we are early enough a sunset. During this walk I realised that one of our routes is no longer available to us – the dogs particularly love a run around the “cow’s field”, pasture which is unoccupied from autumn until early summer. It now has a flock of sheep in it. We will need to be cautious if we are following the footpath through this field – Tia can get through the fence by the stile into the field, and the dogs will need to be put on a lead before we get near the field. And we will need to re-name the “Cow’s” field
Beautifully evocative shot. It really throws you when dog walks are affected by unforeseen changes, I still can't go into the Forestry Commission enclosure where I used to walk regularly.
