The “Cows Field” has been sheepified for the last few weeks, with a large flock of sheep grazing, which, unlike the summer bovine residents, have a habit of spreading our over the whole field. We have to be careful as we reach the end of the field track that leads down to the river behind our home, where we have a choice of routes. A favoured route by then dogs is to cross the bridge over the river, so that they can run in circles in the large open field on the far side. Tia is agile enough to squeeze through the rails of the wooden fence next to the gate on the far side of the bridge, and there is absolutely no doubt that she would enjoy chasing the sheep. I may be able to call her back to me, but I have no intention of testing this, and if the sheep are on the far side of the bridge Tia is kept on a lead until we have walked away from the bridge, or crossed over the sheep field, depending the route that we have chosen. That reminds me – @shepherdmanswife has promised me leg of lamb for dinner on Easter Sunday!
Love those colours. Fortunately my dog has no interest whatsoever in sheep - she completely ignores them in favour of searching every inch of every hedgerow in Somerset
