I passed along the way
Well, I got down on my knees
And I [began] to pray

Millions across this land are praying for the election tomorrow.
@janets - Thank you Janet!!
I personally I feel that the future of America lies in the balance with the outcome of the presidential election. The two candidates want to take us in two completely opposite directions. One has already shown us he wants to turn America into a socialized nation.
great shot Skip... and caption... You are right about the election.. "If my people which are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face then I will hear from heaven and heal their land"
@danette - Thank you Danette!! Keep praying my dear sister!!
@lynnb - Thank you Lynn!! In answer to your concern about Mitt Romney. First of all , Barack Obama has been on a spending spree ever since he took office in 2008. Ronald Reagan did just that after Jimmy Carter ran the economy into the ground in the late 1970's. Reagan downsized the government, created an environment where businesses flourished creating jobs and America enjoyed the greatest peace time economy in history! Lynn, I'm afraid you have been listening to too much of the liberal lies. It is a fact that the rich pay more then their "Fair Share" in taxes.
The top 1% pay 22.7% of taxes.
The top 10% pay 50% of taxes.
The top 20% pay 65.3% of taxes.
The top 40% pay 84.3% of taxes.
The bottom 20% pay 1.1% of taxes.
The bottom 40% pay 6.1% of taxes.
Nice shot Skip! The caption..California Dreamin'? The election is VERY important. The whole class warfare thing scares me to death. I'm certainly not rich...but all you have to do is look at history to see where this is going. It's not good. I would say.."don't get me started"...but it's too late..;-)
@drewhuy - Thank you very much Drew!! Yes, it is a second photo I did from the song, "California Dreamin".There are a lot of people who are nervous about the outcome of the election. We need to voice our beliefs and our concerns.
@lynnb - I know you are a Canadian so I was somewhat surprised by your comments. It just so happens I lead a video last night at our church on the topic of "The Church and Politics". There are many who have said that they don't mix and you shouldn't mix them. In the Bible in the Book of Romans chapter 13 it says, "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." So my question to those people is, if God established government why would not want His church to be involved? It is a fact that during Thomas Jefferson's term of office (1801-1809) and James Madison's term of office (1801-1809) church services were held in the Capitol building and the House of Representatives.
@skipt07 I would love to see a politician, any politician, who truly looks to a higher authority....and I am not talking money! Many, in many countries, give it lip service, give a show of going to church, etc. I have become somewhat jaundiced by this show and have great difficulty believing it of most.
@lynnb - This is the chapel of Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa. The college was founded in 1852. I don't know when the chapel was built, but I am pretty sure it was built around that time. I have been in it a couple of times in the past. and it does have a distinct feel because of it age and the decor.
I too would like to see a committed man or woman of God become the President. It the video we watched, it was mentioned about how the church has grown in South Korea over the years. today the President of South Korea is a Christian. Jimmy Carter was a Christian when he became President, but I don't like what took place under his watch. Ronald Reagan was a Christian that lead by his beliefs. When he was President he had many detractors. It wasn't until his funeral service that the world saw with their own eyes how much the people loved him. The United States disparately needs another Ronald Reagan or Abraham Lincoln.
I don't know what to think about the election, but I know I'll be glad when the junk mail and phone surveys stop.
