I tried my hand at getting a more in focus picture of the Honeysuckle. This looks like it might be a great year for it. It is so abundant and aromatic.
Wonderful! Great focus on the flower, I have tried photographing honeysuckle and find it incredibly difficult because the flower is on so many different planes but you have it sharp throughout.
@judithdeacon - Thank you Judith! I know what you mean. This was my third attempt. I lost count of how many pictures I took in those three attempts.
@kkolstad - Thank you so much Kristen! I learned something new about my camera that I hope helps me to get sharper photos. I turn my live view on and then push a button that allows me to zoom in either 5x or 10x and then I focus manually. Its not 100%, but it is better then relying on the auto focus trying to focus on the tiny stamens.
@mittens - Thank you very much Marilyn! I'd like to try and transplant some closer to the house. My Amish neighbors used to have a trellis on the one side of their porch and they had honeysuckle growing all over it. I see it is gone now. I don't know if something happened to it and it died or if they got tired of it and tore it out.
@danette - Thank you Danette! As I explained to Kristen, I have learned another way to manually focus my camera in live view. It was also still today so I wasn't fighting the wind either.
Just noticed that I somehow posted my response to this picture on your previous honeysuckle picture...duh! Just reverse everything I said between the two pics, LOL.
