Alexander Lacey put on an extraordinary act with his cats. While one female lion seemed to be acting a little cantankerous, I am not sure if it wasn't only a part of the show.
@maggiemae - If it was up to PETA there wouldn't be any animals in a circus. They were protesting outside the arena when we were going in.
@kwind - Thank you for the "Wow" and kind comment Kim! A few years ago our little township hosted a small circus each year under the big top. This surpassed anything we saw. Ringling Bros. has kept the image of the big circus at a high standard.
@danette - I never saw him in person, but I do remember seeing him perform on a televised performance. I had never heard of Alexander Lacey. He is British and performs mostly in Europe. This was his second trip to America.
Another magical shot. (Twice I've been to birds of prey demos where a bird has flown off into a tree or returned to its cage and I'm never sure whether it's been trained to do that!)
@espyetta - I guess they are wild animals and you never know if they will turn on you like the cat that turned on Roy of Siegfried and Roy. But as I watched him work with these cats you could sense a trust and closeness between the two.
@kerristephens - Thank you Kerri!
