My wife and I headed toward the southern edge of Pennsylvania to see if the leaves were any more colorful. Our original destination was Raccoon Creek State Park but on our way we learned that it was closed on Sunday. So we stopped at this Park in Brighton and Patterson Townships. The park is Beaver County's largest, consists of nearly 2000 acres.
@danette - I didn't think about that. It wasn't as spectacular as I had hoped. Many trees are bare where we live so we thought that further south they might be reaching their prime. But what plays into the trees getting really bright didn't happen farther south. Lots of browns and yellows with touches of orange. Very little red.
@kerristephens - Thank you so much Kerri!
