I looked out our dining room window and saw this hawk land in a tree at the edge of our yard. At first, I thought he would go after one of the birds at our feeder. After a short period of time, he started to eat what I believe was a mouse or some other rodent he had in his claws. I shot this with my 600 mm. I needed to crop it a good deal to get it this close. I then had to do a lot of post-processing in PhotoShop to remove distracting branches around him.
