Another shot from the beach shoot from yesterday. This one was taken looking in the opposite direction from yesterday's shot (and earlier). Look closely and you can see the hole in the rock!
@marmaladeskyes Hey, thanks for the fav, Tracy! That's the south end of Laguna Beach, California in the foreground, Dana Point on down the coast. Very pretty country.
Beautiful image of the coastline, great composition with full focus throughout, particularly the foreground flowers, would love to live in that house what views. pleased you noticed the spots, they can be removed with photoshop when its to late to clean the mirror. I've had this always on a great shot.
Nice! Great photo of a beautiful coastline. This pic's got all sorts of enviable elements included: flowers, sea, hills, clouds, boulders... Was that rain out on the horizon? Looks like CA's getting more rain today. No wonder the flowers look so happy.
About my yacht. Yeah, right. It'd take a macro and a couple of extension tubes to see any yacht I had. And I forgot to mention the excellent thought on the X-acto knife being of the xiphoid nature. Good one. I had a block of wood out at one point and was considering doing some carving on it (a 365) so I could add the word 'xyloglyphy' to the title. That idea lasted about 20 seconds.
@pcoulson I'd love to live in that place too, Peter! That's the restaurant of a very expensive hotel - where I'm assuming the meals are also very pricey! Yeah, those spots really showed themselves in this picture. I have now cleaned the mirror, the sensor, and the filter. Next is PS spot removal. This digital photography sure is a lot of work!
@lyndemc Yes, the only thing missing is a cross-eyed goat, huh? No rain during the shoot - just rare menacing looking clouds. Yes, we are receiving some much needed rain. Not nearly enough, but hey, there's a whole ocean there!
Love the story behind the X acto knife! A wooden 365 photo would've guaranteed a lifetime membership! I'm about to venture onto the home page - can't wait to see your grand macro finale!
