Colorsketch Fountain by stray_shooter

Colorsketch Fountain

A little short on photo opportunities today. This is a fountain on the patio of a location where I often take lunch.
I'm not very familiar with all the art movement -isms, but this looks like one of them!

The colorsketch feature creating an almost abstract image with the tight crop and the lovely effect of the white water, great capture Ron.

I know I should say something but I'm not too sure what it is Nice pic sounds a bit lame. Interesting fountain Ron.

Interesting processing Ron, very effective!

@pjtphoto I think the "ism' in this case is "out of fill-ins." I'm coming to grips with the fact that I just posted a crummy shot. It's the Van Gogh in me.

@pcoulson You're kind Peter. I hope that your processing lessons steer you away from something like this.

@terryliv LOL!! I think this is my favorite comment ever!

@dianeburns Yes, interesting. I don't think I'll try to do a colorsketch of a nondescript fountain again anytime soon. Thanks for the words of encouragement, Diane.

@stray_shooter Is Colorsketch a feature on Photoshop Ron?

BTW, a couple of days ago when I said that the Galahs bumped the pics I had ready for the day, well those pics were of the jerky making process. Have to wait a few months now for the next chance.

@terryliv No, it's a setting on certain Nikon models, mine is a D5100. I think it's on the 3200 and the 7100 too. It's probably more of a gimmick, but I find it to be real fun, because you have no control over it. You do learn after a while what looks good and what doesn't. I believe odd looking fountains are on the "doesn't" list.

You're making us wait for the jerky photos? Maybe a little Galah jerkey would be a good compromise. ;-)

Actually the more I look at the fountain, the more I like it. But I have no idea why

Really nice abstract, lovely light and colours

I confess, I've just eavesdropped on all the exchanges here. That Mr. Livy, ain't he a hoot! And you, suggesting Galah jerky — for shame! (This from a fan of the parrot world, although there are days making jerky out of couple of mine sounds like a good idea, and I'm a vegetarian.) Back to the fountain pic. I say Kudos to you for taking the picture, having a post for 365, doing what it takes to stick with the plan. I like how each water droplet is outlined — it gives definition to the action going on here. (I don't know if that was the right thing to say but I said it anyway.)

@terryliv We're going in opposite directions. I think I'll just make a note to ignore this for 60 days and then come back and see how I feel.
@ourrube Thanks, Ruby. OK, I'm warming up to it.

@simta пасибо, Татьяна. Ваши комментарии являются обнадеживающими. Иногда жалею эту фотографию, то иногда мне это нравится. Сумасшедший.

@lyndemc My own personal coach, motivator and cheerleader - thanks for propping my up, my friend. I recall the comment advising that you don't need to get a masterpiece every day. But you do need to take a picture every day. I took a picture.

And I vow to never touch a piece of Galah jerky should the unpredictable and highly dangerous Mr. Livy actually follow through. Now a little kangaroo jerky.....no, can't even think of that. :-(
