This could easily be the worst photo I've posted on 365 since I put away the Instamatic. The ice is gone, I'm in a hotel, and I can't take photos at work. So my dinner beverage became my only opportunity. It was delicious at least.
No, not the worst on 365, not by any stretch of your imagination!! At first I thought it might be a Bloody Mary that you got at the airport lounge on your way home, but now I see it is a beer with a twist! Oh, and you spelled "desperation" wrong... ;-)) I think you need to come back home....brain must be freezing!
I can almost here the desperation in your voice Ron, just how many of these had you had before taking this shot?, neveer mind you will soon be back "California Dreaming" in the sun,lol:)
No, a worse picture would've been if you'd thought to take the picture AFTER the drink was gone. This shot's got color and potential. Hoping you can head back home soon.
@panthora Ha, ha! Yes, my brain was obviously slowed by the cold. Oddly enough my spell checker probably kicked in and I likely just ignored it. And thanks for confirming that I do indeed have worse pictures on 365! :-)
@pcoulson Ha! Believe it or not, this was the first (but not the last) one, Peter! Happy to report that as of last night I have indeed returned to sunny Southern Cal. Thanks for the comment.
@lyndemc You are indeed correct, Denise. Actually it was somewhat criminal that I delayed enjoying the golden liquid by shooting silly photos of it. The "after" shot would surely have been disgusting and colorless.
And I thought..."Bloody Mary"..."First Class Cabin"..."Happily Heading Home"... OK, at that moment at least, wrong on all counts!
You should play hooky tomorrow and join us in SD for the day! Ken has an 11 AM meeting there, so I'm having him drop me at LaJolla Cove (as Joy suggested) for "large bird" photos. When he's done, I want to go to Balboa Park and we're hoping Joy will be free for dinner before 6 when we head home... (You are SO GOING TO LOVE retirement!)
@Weezilou Partially right - I did get an upgrade to first class, but opted for just a Diet Coke (plus some healthy servings of Toffee Crunch ice cream.
Wish I could join you in SD - work does require my attention, since I only have a few days again until I head back out. :-( Enjoy and say hi to Joy for me. And yes, I yearn for the looming retirement - right now it's simply torture.
